The Taste of Cincinnati

Summer is here everyone! Pools are open and it's getting quite warm! Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend, and took time to pause and remember those who have lost their lives so that we can be free :)

Sat-Mon was the Taste of Cincinnati! One of my favorite events around here!

 It was slightly packed haha :)

 I had all kinds of delicious food and beer. I wish I would've made it there Sat to try Moerlein's Strawberry Beer!!

 I tried the bread pudding from Bella Luna...Wow!! :) It was soo good! I also stopped by C'est Cheese for a Bee Sting, J Gumbo for some Drunken Chicken, Duck Confit at Panino, Korean BBQ at Red Sesame, and a whole bunch of bites here and there from what my friends and family got. All of the food I had was delicious, by the end of the day I was pleasantly stuffed haha :)

 All in all a great day downtown! Thanks for all the hard work putting on the Taste, it was so much fun! :)

Cincinnati Parks

Sawyer Point

I love the parks around Cincinnati. Sawyer Point is one of my favorites! We went there on a beautiful spring day a few weeks ago.

We take my dog there for walks, he loves it! Haha :)

Just a side note, this weekend is The Taste of Cincinnati!! :) Head on downtown Sat, Sun, and Mon for some great food and drink! This is one of my most favorite events around here. Pretty much anytime Cincinnati food and drink is the focus I'm there and a happy camper :)


 
 

Over-the-Rhine

I finally made it back to OTR two weeks ago! I'd been to Taste of Belgium a couple times but hadn't really explored. Taste of Belgium by the way so delicious! I highly recommend it! We attended Buck's Badass Bash put on by Bakersfield OTR.

It was a blast! There was live music and fantastic food! We thought we would only stay for a little bit and ended up staying all afternoon! It was such a nice relaxing time, enjoying the great weather, margaritas, tacos and music!! I was so excited to try their tacos and I was not the least bit disappointed! The chicken tacos I had were quite tasty as was the guacamole!

We had so much fun!! Thank you Bakersfield! :)

After our fun at Buck's Badass Bash we decided to explore OTR a little more and ended up eating dinner at The Senate.

I loved the atmosphere there! As you may recall from my last post, I am a big fan of old movies, (1920s-1960s), and they had the Turner Classic Movies channel playing on the TVs adding to the great feeling of the place. 

I had the Nick Lachey it was so good!! I highly recommend it!

 
I can't wait to go back!!! :)

20th Century Theater Event!

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know about an event going on at 20th Century Theater in Oakley!

In honor of Cincinnati native Tyrone Power, (a movie and stage actor 1930-1950s), the 20th Century Theater and Movie Memories is putting on a little celebration for his 100th birthday. They are showing one of his movies, Blood and Sand, also the first movie shown at the theater back in 1941! The event is tomorrow night (5/8) with the movie starting at 8:00. Sounds like fun!! I love old movies and introducing them to people so I couldn't resist sharing this event with you! :)  If you guys ever hear of any old movie event going on somewhere around town please let me know in the comment section!! :)
